THE DESIGNER
I specialize in reproduction samplers and their history, but also create original designs.
I'm Robin Laukhuf. I began my business by hand-dyeing threads — cotton, silk, wool, and linen — learning how colors harmonize together.
After a career teaching college business courses, I turned to what I love most: reproducing antique samplers and charting original designs. Scottish samplers are my quiet obsession — one of my first releases was My Favorite Scottish Sampler, and I've been chasing that feeling ever since.

The care behind every chart
Faithful to the original
Every reproduction is charted from careful study of the antique piece — its alphabet, borders, and honest imperfections preserved.
Rooted in hand-dyed color
Years of dying experience taught me how thread takes color. My experience guides every palette I recommend and every kit I assemble.
Samplers that are timeless
My charts are made so yours can be finished, framed, and handed down for generations.
